Fourth annual Marion Matters

On the afternoon of August 22, over 180 Judson students, faculty, and staff members took part in Marion Matters, the annual community-service blitz that ends new students Welcome Week. This year, groups completed a record 18 simultaneous service projects in Perry County.

Project sites for the fourth annual Marion Matters included Albert Turner Elementary, Francis Marion High School, Marion Academy, Provewell Baptist Church, Perry Lakes Park, and the Lincoln Museum. Service groups also aided several local partner organizations with their work, including Sowing Seeds of Hope, the Perry County Department of Human Resources, the Perry County Extension Office, and the Perry County Health Department.
