Students survey Perry County

Dr. Joann Williams’ Business Communications students conducted a study of the economic impact that Judson and Marion Military Institute have on the City of Marion and Perry County during the Fall 2009 semester. Psychology students in Dr. Harold Arnold's Experiemental Psychology class conducted a second simultaneous study measuring the perceptions of students, faculty/staff, and community members on these impacts. The data from these studies will not only be used by development personnel at Judson and MMI, but also by the Perry County Chamber of Commerce and Sowing Seeds of Hope Tourism Task Force as they seek to improve the economic situation of Perry County.
