First annual Kids' Ride

Judson sponsored a Tricycle and Bicycle Ride for children as part of this year’s Old Howard 100 Bike Ride, a bicycle tour of Marion and the surrounding area. Children who participated in the event followed a track on Judson’s campus. The Kids’ Ride developed when the organizers of the Old Howard began looking for ways to get the local community more involved with the ride. The hope is that increasing the number of family activities associated with the annual event will increase participation by Perry County residents.


The Old Howard is organized by Samford University, which has roots in Perry County. Proceeds from the event's registration fees benefit Sowing Seeds of Hope.
