KidCheck and Community Health Fairs

Judson students, staff, and faculty members helped staff several events designed to promote health among Perry County residents during the spring semester. Judson education students and professors helped assess the health of children in Perry County schools as part of the KidCheck program, organized by Samford’s school of nursing and Sowing Seeds of Hope. Ten students and three faculty and staff members helped staff a community health fair at the Perry County Health Departments, sponsored by Sowing Seeds of Hope in partnership with the nursing and pharmacy programs at Samford. More than 800 Perry County residents were screened at these events.
